- Salary:
- Non-certified: $60,000 upon completing of training.
- Certified: Salary dependent on qualifications and years of service (up to $71,614)

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications for the Dagsboro Police Department Candidates
Prospective applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship: All candidates must be U.S. citizens.
- Character: Candidates must have strong work ethic, good judgement, and sound moral character.
- Age: Applicants must be 21 years old by the time they complete the academy.
- Driver's License: Possession of a valid drivers license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
- Vision: Minimum uncorrected vision not greater then 20/200 in each eye and correctable with lenses Io 20/20 in each eye. Able to distinguish between the colors of red, green, and amber.
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Background Check: Candidates for this position will be subject to a physical fitness test, awritten examintion, a panel interview, a background investigation, a pre-employment physical, drug testing, and psychological testing.
